Hi,
I have a 2009 Carrera S with the new DFI engine. I had the fuel pump replaced / upgraded about 3 months ago - not because I had any issue with the original, but because there was a service bulletin.
Today i noticed the car had problems getting started, and then i noticed the engine had what look to me as fuel pressure problems revving above 4 thousand or if I apply more than half the gas pedal travel. Anyways, I have a feeling this is a fuel pump problem...Anyone has experienced something similar?
Thanks,
Fernando

My original HPFP went out within 2 months after I bought the car. The symptoms were long cranks and finally one night driving home the car was bucking and hesitating at all RPMs. Your symptoms sound close, sorry to say. My car had to be towed (on dollys) the dealer. I would get it back assuming you can drive it to the dealer or have them flatbed it in.

I'm a technician in Omaha, and we have had one 997 come back after completing the HPFP campaign. Replaced the "new" fuel pump with a new one, and was good to go. How many miles have you driven since the pump was replaced last?
