On the 2011 Carrera S with Navigation system does a porsche logo show in the PCM screen? If so how do you turn on this feature? Yes I am a new proud owner. My retirement present.

The Porsche logo came up on-screen on my 2006 C2S whenever the PCM was first turned on.
I've never seen it on my 2011 GTS.
Seems like a strange thing to delete, doesn't it?

09 C2S here. I've only seen the logo a handful of times on startup. Sometimes the PCM will reboot itself during normal use and I'll see it then, too. Weird. I've been told I am on the latest firmware. *shrug*

Here's a guess on my part. Remember those little hourglass thingys on computers, telling you that the computer is slowly responding to your last request? I would say that the cute Porsche logo on start up is there to keep you happy and occupied as the PCM is starting up. With significant changes to the 997.2 PCM perhaps the computer is nearly instantaneous--and there is no really NEED to show that.

I can see the logo only when I insert the key into the ignition switch of my '11 C4S and I am not sitting in the car. Sit, then insert, and the "I agree to be safe" message comes up instead.
