Porsche typically makes mid model improvements. The early 993 cars had lower hp and were less driveable with clutch mods than the later. Suggest research this. I believe the upgraded engine started in 1997. Would start there. The car is very similar in fit, function and driveability to the 997. I have driven both. It is collectable due to the last of the air cooled engines and prices reflect this. Higher mileage cars (>60K) often start to use oil, often due to valve guide issues, if you are not familiar. It can be a lot of car for anyone. Be careful for what you wish for.

all same seller - all pretty cheap, ebay would be a good source

Bburago makes a cheap silver 993 C2.

UT made a better one but can be hard to find as they are no longer made. Ebay is your friend.
