Default Euro US Front plate custom option

Guys just read another thread about the dreaded front plate "fix ticket" and here's another solution which I found awhile back. The Euro plate does look better on the front mount of the car and doesn't totally kill the design lines of the front. I too have a Skene plate but never mounted it (got for my e92 M3 which I ended up running without a front plate the whole 3 yrs i had it - ONE ticket suffered). My prior 997.1 (had a front plate) and its replacement 997.2 (Racing Green C2S) didn't but I too suffered the infamous "correct it ticket which cost me $180 in MD" (tacked onto a bogus improper signal/stop). My current 997.2 C42 already had front plates (CPO vehicle from PA) but here is my work around! This way I have a front plate displayed matching my officially issued rear plate and I keep the 2nd front plate in my front trunk just in case I am stopped and the officer really wants to be a PITA.

Better than running plateless if you live in one of those MUST FIX/DISPLAY communities/areas and want a cleaner option than the tow hook or velcro on options. Md

Just my opinion here, but...running with a Euro plate on the front of your Porsche seems like it would call more attention to your car (to a cop), than running plateless.
Not certain how other states would react, but I know in CA, the Euro plate is NOT a legal substitute for the real thing, even if it's the right configuration.

Definitely not legal in MA. I would be surprised if this was legal in any state.

Its legal in states that only require the rear plate, since you can put what you want on the front.

It's a great idea. I kept my original euro plates on the BMW (front), and got a "vanity" plate with the same number on the back. In Dallas, I never had any issues with police. I even asked an officer once and he said it was fine. The only problem I had was German transplants chasing me down to ask about the car and plates. It draws a ridiculous amount of attention

Would it not be less expensive to get new German custom plates for the front to match the standard plates TX issues for the back? This way there's no repeating 'custom plate fee'. Granted, you have to put on fake circular registration stickers on the German plate.
