Which "battery tender" do you like and why?

I have never used anything but Battery Tender Plus on all my cars and motorcycles like many other members here. I have posted these pics before but never get tired of sharing one of my only real "mods", although a very minor one !! As you can see I have the Battery Tender Plus with a Powerlet Male Plug end and installed a Powerlet Female Socket into the front Grill area.

Any problems if I want to just plug it to the cigarette ligher? I know in some cars it will not let you charge from there-- unless the key is in and dash lit. I believe the Carrera allows it without ignition on-- right?

After reading quite a bit on tenders/chargers, I decided to go with this one:

What I was looking for was a tender that would reset itself and work indefinitely while I'm out of town after a power outage. I've had some squirrels/birds cause a transformer blow up in the neighborhood, so if you lose power and the tender doesn't restart, what good is it? :bang head:
As far as I know, the Porsche one does not restart and resume charging/maintaining-

I do know for a fact that the Battery Tender Plus does reset it self after a power outage. I have been using them since 2000 on all of my toys. Ducati, 2 jet ski's, Mastercraft boat, and my cars.
Also all car collectors that I know and car museum's that I have been to use the Battery Tender Plus....

I recommend the models from CTEK. The 3300 is the exact same unit rebranded and sold by Porsche, but Porsche charges twice as much for it.

Correct you can use it in the Porsche, at least I know mine you can. That is the way I do it.

I maintain some of my cars with a battery charger and a lamp timer set to charge 2 hrs/day. It does not matter what brand or type at that point and the battery is always charged. For a MC, I charge 1 hr/day.
