sizes are all different depending on who you ask. My dealer say upwards of 17 are ok.
Personally i think 5 are too small. For that i'd rather put on 245's on the front.

i put on 7mm all around. before buying i initially thought that it might not be too noticeable. i based my judgement on most of the people here putting 7mm in front. Since i did not really want the car to behave differently i decided to just do the same to the back. now i think it is perfect, for my taste. some might say 14mm at the back is good but really imo that would be too much and might make the car look "ricey" its going to be like those japanese cars modified by young kids with money. POrsche is class and sports...everything should be subtle yet everyone knows what you have. mine is a narrow body by the way

For the rear on a wide body liek th Turbo, C4 and GTS....et48 is right at the fender lip. So 7mm all around will help a little in the looks department....or get a set of wheels properly built with the offset you want.

One of my concerns is that i dont wanted to stick out of the fender , and the thicker the spacers the longer the bolts and that scares me , i agree Porsche is classy none of this drastic changes so if new wheels where an option then i should be looking at something with et of 48 in the rear how about the front .

5mm up front and 7mm rear will bring the sidewalls of the tires exactly flush with the fenders. That's the setup on both my 4S's. And never mind those who snicker at the mm thing. Doesn't sound like much but visually it makes all the difference.

I agree with the above post. I have the 5mm factory spacers on my car and when I asked my Porsche indy if I should increase the spacers he said no way. Car looked perfect with it's current stance. This is a narrow body with the Carrera Classic rims. I do have 305's on the rear, though. That probably helps a little bit....

Hi JMA,

Would love to see pics of your car if possible. I have carrera classics as well and am thinking about adding the 5mm spacers.

TIA
