Legends of Rennsport Reunion IV
You may recognize... Detlev Von Platen, Manny Alban, Hans Herrmann, Wolfgang Porsche, Brian Redman, Derek Bell, Hurley Haywood, and of course... the new 991, and many historic factory cars.
See some photos below. More photos HERE.

Are they letting you test drive the 991?

Three Wheelin'
No one asked me but . . . My impression of the 991 was that it is visually different in the same way that the 996 was compared to the 997. Generally, individual subtle changes that you may not notice by themselves but put together and, yes, we the Fringe Element will quickly see the difference. I'm sorry to not be much help but you really do have to see it in person. I could live w/ it but since I don't have to, I won't (I'll be keeping my GTS for quite a while)

Re the 991:
PCNA had 5/6 cars there. Two (red and yellow) were being driven on the paddock and on the track for VIP laps. I asked someone I know at PCNA and he said no customer drives.
At a distance, the car looks like a recent 911. 90+% of the world will not tell it apart from a 996/997.
It is a bigger car seen from the outside. Inside, the driver position actually feels a little more enclosed with the 3-D door interior, elevated console and higher window sills (at least I felt more squeezed in). The rear seats are deeper and they are more generous but about the same leg space.
The outside of the car loses the simple smooth lines of the 997. Lots of creases and add-ons, both front and rear (rear especially). The rear lower valance is almost vertical. Lifting the rear hatch one only sees a plastic plate and oil/coolant access, no engine view at all.
PCNA people who drove the car, both in Germany and the US, told me it feels very different. It feels more stable, especially above 150MPH. That's what a long-wheelbase does... I am sure it will be a great performer, but different.
