997 GTS 2011 vs. 2012 What are the differences?
Hi Everyone,
Finally going to take the plunge and getting myself a new 997 GTS, just wondering what the major difference between the 2011 vs 2012 are? I just saw that the sports suspension on the 2012 has an additional sport plus button? Anything else that's different? What does that do?
Please don't flame me as I'm in the beginnings of this research, however I found a 2011 GTS with Sport Seats that I'm really interested in but I don't want to miss out on the "extra suspension" mode option in the 2012 if it makes a difference on the track. I will be tracking and this will come in handy.
Thanks in advance for your replies

The Sport Plus button comes only on cars with PDK and is NOT year specific (2011 vs. 2012). Cars with manual manual transmissionsdo not get or need the Sport Plus button.

Thanks for the replies!
Has anyone has any problems with the PDK? Wife doesn't know how to drive a stick and I'm thinking of the PDK option?
Also what's a fair price? stick on the car I'm looking at is at about $124k there's another one at $117k (manual)
Thanks again!

so here's the latest, I'm at the dealership, the car is a 2011 GTS (manual), sticker is around $124k all options (before tax and license). I start asking about price, go back and forth a bit, finally comes back with a printout quote of $108k, I push back to $105k didn't work out. I leave, later the next day I send an email (probably a strategical mistake) reiterating my $105k price. Salesman calls me, I return the call he says he's off for the next two days, I told him my offer is $113,500 out the door (cash in hand). He calls me back and says $120k out the door? I told him how is that possible if $108k was the original offer? He tells me that the $108 didn't include the clearbra and tracking device that was added to the car! I told him how do you offer a person a price to not be all inclusive? He backtracks and says "oh the original quote was based upon the sticker of the car itself and did not include the additions" now they are back tracking. I told him that I would do $116k out the door as my max and told him don't bother calling me if you can't get that price. Now his sales mgr wants to speak with me... Oh how I love the car buying experience! Anyhoo, bottom line still not GTS in the garage... Is my offer too low ball? or should I go to another dealership?

You can get an independent shop to do a clear bra for much, much less than that. Tell them you want the car with no aftermarket accessories for the $108k price they quoted. That is a pretty good deal.
