Amazon has the same 12 rebate with free shipping.

Amazon Amazon

After $12 rebate, works out to be $6.22 a quart.

Napa has it on sale this week for $5.99 plus tax.

Just picked up two cases of Mobil 1 0w-40 for $5.98 a quart at my local NAPA dealer. And they have the $12 rebate form (can use up to 2) for each "5 quart purchase". They say it works. If the rebate applies, the 12 quart purchase should work out to be $3.98 per quart.

Mailing it in today and lets see if it does.

The mail in rebate form has a link to "participating retailers" that must be used to qualify for this rebate.

http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...011_Rules.aspx

Amazon and NAPA don't seem to be on it. I called the Mobile One number listed at the bottom of the above link, 1-800-ASK-MOBIL and the person told me the purchase MUST be from the list provided.

FYI

I agree with your read of the list of participating retailers (and what the Mobil rep read back to you) but Amazon has it on its website that the rebate applies to purchases from them with link to the form and the NAPA dealer had a counter display with the rebate forms. I suspect that the rules are not as restricted as they make it out to be.

I submitted the rebate form today. If I get it -- great. If not -- no big deal either. $24 bucks in my pocket would be nice.

I just bought 10qts at Napa and they have the rebate form. Even if it doesn't work, that is a very good price on its own anyway. Where is the best place to get the filters? I tried one link to Suncoast but it didn't work...thx

Has anyone tried the K&N filter? HP-7011

It's $10 vs Porsche $20.
