How different is the 997.1 Carrera 4 and the Carrera S?

Aside from AWD on the 4 and "Turbo" brakes and 3.8L H6 on the S, what other differences? Are they both "wide bodies"? I know the "S" models in the 993s were a little wider.

Hopefully with what I learn from the helpful people in these forums, I'll make a good decision when I finally find my first Porsche.

I am a confused? I thought I read somewhere that the 997.2 C2 has same size brakes as the 997.1 C2S and the 997.2 C2S?

Autopc,

Go back and reread my post. My comments about base and S versions are separate for the 997.1 and 997.2. I didn't make comparisons across the 997 generations (a.k.a .1 versus .2).

Lots different.

Different feel. - RWD vs AWD I find RWD more nimble and fun but to each his own. Both are great cars.
