Hope to order a new 997 Carrera 4. Is Porsche still building them?
Spoke to my local Porsche dealer today. I want to order a new C4. He said they are no longer available in anticipation of the 991 introduction. True?

About 6 weeks ago I was able to acquire a spot for a new build which I'm using for a GTS. I was told the build spots were not specific - that the spot could have been used to build any 997. But that was 6 weeks ago. With an Oct 6 completion date, I'd have to believe my spot is getting really close to the end of the run. Someone said they're building the 997 thru October. Check with Mike O'Donnell at Bert Smith Porsche in St. Petersburg, FL. The dude is in the know, and if anyone can finagle(sp?) something for you, he can.

This is always the case with new 911 introductions, first C2/C2S, then C4s, then GT3s, Turbo.
