Yep the mesh is a must have and drastically reduces the rad cleaning intervals and adds a huge layer of protection ... Never understood why Porsche did not have all their 911's equipped with them ?

 

Would plastic grills work? I am thinking that you could 3-D print using black nylon and you would have the advantage of printing to correct size and less risk of scratching the paint during installation.

 

Nothing of note? In my 15 years or so I haven’t collected anything more than a leaf or two. What am I doing wrong/right?

Finally got around to making my own grills…I chose the same mesh pattern and size that was used on my duck tail openings…
The pictures are a little deceiving the way the light reflects of the grills…they are actually lay flat without any ripples or waves in them
