Hi Mambodoc, also I am curious on how this was resolved? I also have same issue, I think.
Made a quick video on my e-brake travel/slack/free-play and how the lever/handle is now not very "tight", feels "sloppy":
Porsche 997.1 parking-brake/e-brake lever
Thanks,
Daniel

Mine (997.1) was also at my local Porsche Center (Espoo, Finland) last summer and they did the adjustment at the wheels.
Actually, after that visit I have had the slack in the lever/handle
I recall my handle had better feeling to it before my visit to Porsche service center...
I actually have center console almost opened at the moment as installing the new Porsche PCCM Plus head-unit.

Look at the spring, probably it has to take the cable, and mine look not… can you check this on yours? Thanks

Reviving this as I also have this immediate slack. When disengaged the brake lever feels floppy. Anyone ever solve this?

Ok, yeah mine still engages just fine, just went kind of floppy today. Weird as it wasn't that way last time I drove!
