Hey guys, i need help looking for a 997.1 ruby red metallic cabrio, transmission ,and options dont matter, i dont care if its an S or 4s or base carrera i just want a ruby red cab and it has to be under $55k , ive searched tons of sites , distance doesnt really matter since it can be shipped. ive been looking for days and have only come up with this one so far, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...item5645e87956

I thought the Ruby Red was a 977.2 color. That would explain your findings.

It became available in 08, replacing carmon red. So you won't find it on the 05-07 model years unless it was a paint-to-sample

Definitely a 997.2 color (arriving in 08 however).

Have you looked at the Carmona Red? It is a very beautiful color and available in the 997.1 05-08 cars.

When I ordered my '08 SY in October of 2007 (February 2008 Build) the color had just been introduced. In fact, the only way to see it was on the configurator as PAG hadn't even produced any cars in that color (to my knowledge) as of 10/08). In the Bay Area Carlsen got the first Ruby Red Porsche, a Cayman on December 6th, 2007 (I know this date b/c I was on my way to see it when I got a call from daughter's school about a lice outbreak and she was infected.) So, I suppose it became available on 997.1's about half way through the 2008 production year (depending on the definition of production year and model year). (I canceled the Ruby Red order and went with my daughters initial request of SY as the Ruby Red had way too much brown in it for my taste.)

Mine is an '08 manufacture date 4/08. I could not find anything in a '07 when I was searching. '08 Cab is going to run you in the high $60s or low $70s at best.
