I kinda like the glossy trim. It don't look too out of place. But I fear it may clash with the fuzzy dices hanging from my mirror. Not to mention the carpeted dash!
I'm surprised it is not standard and then a $ charge to get rid of it. I think P could make more money that way. Maybe PCNA could spec it that way for us...

Not to be contrary to the majority, but...the brightwork looked really good on the 70's cars a dark paint like black. I remember when the black trim was an option on 911's. You'd see ads for "triple black," meaning paint, leather and trim were black.
I don't mind swimming against the stream. The trim on the blue car in Tim's pic above looks fine. I'm not saying I'd order it, but it certainly doesn't look gross, and I've seen lots of color combinations and other personalized touches that people do to their cars that look much worse. As "street" points out it, it harkens back to Porsches of the '70's and besides, if you don't like it you don't have to order it. It's just another choice; I don't get what the complaining is all about.
It's an option under the "Exterior" tab called "Window trim in high-gloss aluminum."
Price is $395. Not part of any package, AFAIK.
Perhaps there's a "Buick Package" coming for the 991s? It could be a part of that...
