'08 C2S Tip, '09 C2 PDK, or Spyder PDK?

Just starting to shop for a Porsche with TIP or PDK. I want Sports Chrono, PASM or sport suspension. It seems like nice '08 C2S Tip, '09 C2 PDK and Spyder PDK are priced very close. I have driven each model at different times, not back to back. Would you go for the base '09 C2 PDK over the '08 C2S with Tip for roughly the same money? $60K-$65K for the 997's. How about the Spyder with PDK for a few grand more? '09 C2S PDK seem to be holding well price wise. Do you think the '09 C2S PDK is worth the extra $10K? Around $70K+. Am I close pricing wise? 997 prices should drop when the 991 hits showrooms right? Do I buy now or wait for the 991 to hit showrooms?
I would want some warranty also.
Suggestions?
Thanks

I'd go for a C2 PDK every day over a C2S Tip. However those Boxster Spyder PDK car drive well and handle great especially at the track.

Definitely PDK over Tip. 997.1 is very very close to 997.2 in all areas BUT in Auto transmission... if one wants an Automatic, there's NO reason to buy a Tip over PDK!
Choosing between Spyder and 997 is all about your preference and what you wanna use the car for.

You are right about the Spyder. I drove a friend's for a single 20 minute track session and fell in love. The soft bikini top is the only thing I have reservations about. I like to be able to take road trips, the Spyder really does not fit that bill. But what a weekend driver! Lots of value.
How are you liking the GTS?

You owned a '09 C2S. Do you feel '09 C2S is worth the difference in price over the '09 C2? I just do not want to buy high if the price might drop once the 991 is out.

As I said, between Spyder and Carrera is totally personal.

95% of the time it is severe bumper to bumper traffic in Chicago so the PDK should be great. I would consider it for a daily driver if it were not for the heavy traffic congestion. The car will be basically a weekend driver and road trip car. 3-4 track events a year. Not hard core at all, just having fun.
Hopefully there are '09 C2S CPOs out there with PDK, Sports Chrono and PASM or Sport Suspension. Any other suggestions for other must have options?
I know it will take time to find the right car. I hope I find one before the weather gets too cold and wet. I guess a "plus" is the 991 will be out in a few months. Maybe prices will drop more then usual over the winter if I am having trouble finding the right car.
I am meeting a friend who owns a Spyder tomorrow to see if I can justify the lack of practicality. lol! It's too bad someone does not make a aftermarket carbon fiber hardtop for the Spyder for short road trips.
It's been a long time. I am looking forward to owning another Porsche!
Thanks everyone!

I have been searching the usual sites like Auto Trader and Cars.com. Any other sites worth looking at?
Also, what does a DME scan record, how do you read the values? What do you look out for? Is this a must do prior to purchase?

For an 09, I'd make sure it has BT, UAI, SC, PASM. I personally prefer SPASM but not sure you could be too picky. Satellite radio and nav are very good for DD. Another thing PCM 3 that came in 09 is really good and a big improvement over a 997.1. Plus no more IMS vs a .1.
