'08 C2S Tip, '09 C2 PDK, or Spyder PDK?

It looks like you own a Cayman now, have you owned a 997 also?

09 C2S PDK, 09 C2 PDK, 09 Cayman S PDK, Spyder PDK, 08 C2S Tip. Long trips is why I have the Spyder at the back. Two and three are tough for me to choose between. If you are a 911 guy then two is the choice.

You have owned every car I am considering. The '09 C2 PDK is a much better car then the '08 C2S Tip, correct? The '08 C2S Tip was my first consideration. The '08 C2S Tip is no linger being considered after some test drives and opinions from the forum. The '09 C2 PDK is almost the same money.
The '09 C2 PDK is close in price to the Spyder PDK also. I just took another very brief drive in a friend's Spyder yesterday and I have to say I really love the performance, style, uniqueness. A '09 or newer Cayman S PDK is probably a little less money. Not taking money into consideration, which would you pick for a weekend driver? Personally I really liked the Cayman S but thought the 997 interior was nicer and had more room. All logic is out the door for the Spyder, I just love the style and way it feels even though it is by far the least practical. It stirs my soul. I do not know if the Spyder will grow to be annoying for road trips?

PDK over TIP if you're looking to avoid the 6SP

You are right, it boils down to Tip v. PDK. PDK it is!
95% of the time it is severe bumper to bumper traffic in Chicago so the PDK should be great. I would consider it for a daily driver if it were not for the heavy traffic congestion. The car will be basically a weekend driver and road trip car. 3-4 track events a year. Not hard core at all, just having fun.
Hopefully there are '09 C2S CPOs out there with PDK, Sports Chrono and PASM or Sport Suspension. Any other suggestions for other must have options?
I know it will take time to find the right car. I hope I find one before the weather gets too cold and wet. I guess a "plus" is the 991 will be out in a few months. Maybe prices will drop more then usual over the winter if I am having trouble finding the right car.
I am meeting a friend who owns a Spyder tomorrow to see if I can justify the lack of practicality. lol! It's too bad someone does not make a aftermarket carbon fiber hardtop for the Spyder for short road trips.
It's been a long time. I am looking forward to owning another Porsche!
Thanks everyone!

PS As for price drops when the 991's debut? I am sure it will occur but it may be a few months out into late 2012 as my dealer is taking orders for 991's but has no idea of allocations yet and thinks it may be very difficult to get a 991 before this time next year..without paying a significant price premium. So 997 prices may not drop as much as you think.
