We've talked about trying something ourselves on the sides but we're just not in those guys league as far as size etc.. so it's hard to do that
That would be me. The sound is soooo much better w/ the bypass. I second what everyone else has said about it - it just sounds much more like what you'd expect a Carrera so sound like. It's probably too soon to tell, however, no one has complimented me on the sound b/c they get hung up on the color. Great experience, great product, highly recommend. Thanks!
Just to prove it:
Sorry I had to duck out early but Dan/James texted me with a smiley face when they started it up Glad you like it and keep flying the blue flag!
Groovy and keep that button on hah:P

Now really have a quandary. Mine arrived last week purchased from a fellow renlister who upgraded to a Tubi but on taking a look under my car (recently purchased as a CPO vehicle) it seems to already have a set of AWE Crossover tubes installed. What now? Swap out the Sharkwerks and sell the AWE or sell the Sharkwerks? Thoughts? Offers?
Am kicking myself cause I just assumed the car was stock since it was just CPO'd and nobody had mentioned it to me nor did I see it in the paperwork!

My bypass arrived last Friday in North Carolina and I plan an install for tomorrow. I did something I rarely do and gathered all the various tools ahead of time to make sure I could find them when I need them. Usually I just begin and about half way through realize that I really don't even own...... the left handed vice grip calipers .......required to complete the job. I should be good to go.

Make sure to shoak all bolts with dw40 or similar way before. It will make things much easier...

Thanks Kouzman, I did not see your post before beginning the project and the upper nut on the driver's side almost got me when it came time to put it back. I was good at getting them off, but that one almost made me lose my religion. I did the install on my back in the garage without a lift of any sort. In retrospect, I should have at least used my ramps, but it is done now. My car is almost new so the nuts worked well with just a bit of WD 40. Everything went well and I love the sound.

I have the Sharkwerks bypass and PSE. I love it, great combination.
Since I had too much time on my hands this morning (no Black Friday shopping!), I thought I would do a spectral analysis to show what the difference is in PSE "ON" and "OFF".
Notes:
Of course, the graphs are not static, but I did my best to capture representative spectrums.
No surprises; with PSE ON it is louder, especially at 150 Hz and 320 Hz. I don't know the accuracy of this analysis, but I suspect that the two peaks are the same peaks as in the PSE OFF curve. The software labels any peak above a certain amplitude, so you will see that throughout the range the PSE ON has more information (of course).
I don't think this solves anything, and I don't think it makes it easier to explain the sound, but it did give me something to do this morning.

Notes:
- The gain was the same (max) for both graphs.
- Car was warmed up and at idle.
- Microphone was placed about two feet directly behind the license plate.
- The X-axis on the graphs is frequency in Hz.
- The Y-axis is amplitude, but I don't know the units (I used a $4.99 app from the App Store!)
- My wife thinks I am crazy. But she likes the sound of Sharkwerks+PSE.

Alex,
Speaking of wife approval, my wife still doesn't know I swapped the center muffler with he Sharkwerks by pass pipe nor does she know I added PSE. The last few times she has been in the car I ran PSE in loud mode because the windows were closed. She never said a thing about the sound. I guess she just expects the Porsche to be louder than her Mazda.

You are probably right! Maybe her "selective hearing" was a by-product of the nearly $18K of new furniture we "just had to get" for the new house last Spring!

Alex, share it with anyone you want, of course. I plan to do a better comparison, using a range of RPMs and with focus on the frequencies below 5000 Hz to better resolve the signal. I hope my neighbors enjoy this as much as I do!
