+1. Yeah, I do notice it a little going from 991.1 to 2012 GTS but I don't mind it in the least. The steering feel is very good - but it was also great on my 997.1 - kinda' of like comparing a 1.35 carat diamond to a 1.5 carat diamond. (And perhaps we'll be saying the same about the difference between the 991 and the GTS)

Wink

Loving my 2012 GTS with SPASM. Got 8,000 miles since June, suspension has "broken in" and softened, but still laser like and telepathic handling.

Unlike A. Dias, I enjoy suspension in firmer mode which works quite well on twisty technical roads with g-outs and bumps.

have fun

Of course I like and use PASM Sport on smooth surfaces. On uneven surfaces a very firm suspension actually loses grip. Horses for courses.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Took the plunge this morning and drove home smiling for 6.5 hours. Chopped in my manual C2S for a PDK GTS with SPASM. Thought I'd get something that felt as different as possible. Gone from silver to red!!

Default SPASM Sport on Rough Roads

Tony - glad to see you are monitoring.....

My experience has been that the 2012 GTS hooks up and has no traction issues on rough tight technical roads here in the Bay Area.

But then again, I like these types of roads and seek them out........and also retain AutoKnight tire and wheel insurance.....

For me, the softer setting has too much sway and movement and bottoming. Sport SPASM is excellent on rough roads and the wheels stay on the ground...............Sorry, I know this may conflict with your opinion or what the PCA instructor told you, but it's just my real world experience.

Lets connect and go driving on some of these roads someday. The billiard smooth stuff is great fun, but the Page Mill, Alpine and Stage Roads are quite interesting as well.

have fun in the meantime

Red is a great GTS color. Matches well with the black bits.

+1, right on!

I've had 2 997's with regular pasm and a 09 with spasm and now a gts with spasm. I'd take spasm all day long. If you are looking for a cushy comfort car then the Porsche Carrera/GTS is not for you. A Porsche Panamera or any BMW, Audi, Benz or Lexus would fit the comfort issue a lot better.
What he said!

Sold my manual C2S for PDK GTS. Took awhile to adjust to PDK but now am enjoying it.

Congrats and enjoy!
