Default noise with clutch engagement

For about the last 6 weeks, I've had a random, intermittent squeal type sound when releasing the clutch in first and rarely second gear. It happens less than 1/2 of the time. Seems to be more frequent when car is warm. I can't tell if it is coming from the front or rear. The sound is medium pitch and brief. Otherwise, drives fine. Any thoughts or known problems/fixes for this? 997.1 C2, 30k miles. Dealer couldn't reproduce it and 'offered' to pull the transmission to inspect (at my expense, it is CPO).

It could be the "helper spring" which is attached to the back side of the clutch pedal.
