PSE Unplug on GTS?
Anyone know which plug to un-plug to deactivate the PSE flaps so that PSE remains open all the time?
I searched the forum and read about either a orange or brown plug in the engine compartment but I saw neither of there color plugs.
Anyone with PET or parts catalog could trace this I guess.

NEVER MIND.....I found the plug.
It is on the right side of the engine at the side of the intake and is a black plug that goes into a grey piece.
There is a metal ring that hold the plug into place. BE CAREFUL with the metal ring as mine went flying off and now I can't find it anywhere. You will need this metal ring to lock the plug back into place if you decide to plug PSE flappers back in.
Now I have to find the wire ring piece....Porsche probably doesn't sell it....anyone now anything about obtaining this wire clip ring that goes on the plug?????

no pics but I can take one tomorrow to show the plug....it's the only plug on the right side on the intake mainfold.
I always hit the button too....PSE is still quiet in the open postion in my opinion.

I've done this as well in my 2006 Coupe. The plug on my variation was orange - sounds like it was in the same location but just a quick unplug and man, no more pushing that darn button every time I turn the ignition. I'm sure it's all mental, but to me, the PSE sounds it's best unplugged - even better than when hitting that little button.

I had to re-plug mine for quiet hours at Road Atlanta.

No need for pics - just reach in and to the right. The plug runs back-to-front and has a metal "C" clip that locks it on. Squeeze the clip (it only moves one way, so you'll know when you have it right) and pull it towards you. Let it dangle or zip tie it to something else if you're ****.

Unfortunately, the only way to increase the exhaust sound on these models seems to be the removal of the third (centre) silencer.

have you considered the T valve method as an alternative to "unplugging"... this worked out well for me no loose plugs in engine compartment...

Thanks Doug....
Thanks for the pics Doug.
The PSE when open is pretty quiet, specially after coming off Tubis that I had on my 'ol C4S.
Wish it was a bit louder.
Keep on GTSin !
