OMFG!!! Some very dreamy machines there. I'd even take that red car with the #30 plastered all over it.

My wife and I have been to this series of events that lead up to the concours at Pebble Beach 3 times but it's been about 8 years now. It's amazing that I can almost get a spider sense tingly feeling around the 3rd week in August knowing this thing is happening across the country from me...I'm hurting. Next year for certain. She would trade me for one of the GTO's but I'd have to have one of the first two 911's in your picture group. The only thing I've been to that comes close to this is Goodwood in England.

Did I read somewhere that the Monterrey Historics racing has gone away, or are they still running them? They were always a highlight!

The Historic Races at Laguna Seca are still on, under different management. They are on today Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The event is called Monterey Motorsport Reunion. See my paddock photos shot yesterday - Friday Paddock Preparations.

..ouch, ouch...stop! Glad to hear the races are still part of this week. Seeing the 70's Formula 1 cars get the front end up in the air coming up the hill a few years ago was an all time great visual.

What a great slide show! Thanks for sharing - only wish I was out there to enjoy it in person. There's another event later this year out there for all the racing models up in the valley at Quail Hollow - something like that. It was closed whne I visited there a couple years ago. Glad it's open agian and it has a nice golf course. Seinfield's collection or part of it will be there along with others and some from the museum.

I'm sure this event is just great - thanks again ADias!

You are probably referring to the Porsche Race Car Classic Classic at the Quail Lodge in Carmel Valley on Sunday, Oct. 16 during the upcoming Rennsport Reunion IV.

Thanks for sharing ADias. The tour pictures are amazing. No less than 3 GTO's. What are the chances. You're a true car guy!

That's right - the Quail Lodge. I'd love to come for that - a great time of year here in Atlanta - my favorite month! Hope I can attend.

There were a whole lot more than that in Monterey this weekend. A half dozen were on the track, with ~25 (all that are known to exist?) at Pebble Beach on Sunday.
