Default I did it! Cargraphic Exhaust Installed

After months of going back and forth on this issue, I finally did it! A brand new Cargraphic Exhaust was installed onto my 997.1 and I could not be happier.

The car finally sounds it should have from the factory. It has enough sound when i want it but is actually really civilized on the highway and with no drone at all.

What surprised me most was that the exhaust replacement required that my entire bumper had to be taken out. I actually thought it was an easy job like my previous cars but it was a bit more intensive (maybe i am just uninformed). However the folks at Sports Car Boutique did a great job. I did not put the OEM tips back on (a bit small) but SCB sourced a quad "S" tip for me right away. Now my car not only sounds good but looks better too. Highly recommended upgrade!

Here are a few pictures I took during the install.

It is not required that the rear bumper be removed. It does make getting to the O2 sensors a bit easier.
The whole thing can be done lying on your back with the car on the ground.

After I got hit in the rear my stock exhaust was damaged. I installed a new Fabspeed Maxflo Muffler system with 200 cell cats. Also replaced the headers with X51's. Now I rarely use the radio, just want to listen to the exhaust note.

The cars are way to quiet with the stock exhaust. The after market exhaust makes the car sound the way a sport car should sound!

Looks like it turned out nicely. The Sport Cats and Muffler combo is the way to go on these cars. It really wakes up the sound and power, and just makes it sound like a Porsche should. I attached a video of a 997.1 with this setup below. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the Feedback Jim n SC, enjoy it.

is that comparable to PSE? I can't tell, perhaps a side by side sound bite

what's MSRP for that set up?

The sport X-Cats can be used with any exhaust.
Worst case you might have to cut 1/2 inch off the muffler ends.

Sounds great AND less filling!

Ours will have a more deeper and aggressive sound then the PSE, as the PSE setup is not the same. We use more free-flowing mufflers with larger tubing to accomplish the increased the sound. Our Maxflo Mufflers are $1195 and I will do them for $1150 for forum members. The Sport Cats are $1495 and I can do that for $1395 as a special. Let me know if you have any questions and PM me if you are interested.
thanks
