Thanks everyone.

Dartmouth, I'm not sure I "deserve" it, but I work damn hard. I leave my amazing kids every morning when all I want to do is stay home and play with them.

I'm not sure any of us deserve such a creation, but I'll do my best to appreciate all I have every day.

I look forward to becoming an active member of this forum.

Thank you,
Joe

There's only one word for that: STUNNING.

It looks great - can't wait to hear your feedback after some time behind the wheel!

Thanks everyone. Getting up for work has never been this easy!

So far, the driving impressions are fantastic. This car makes the '86 feel like Fred Flintstone's car. The handling, power and creature comforts are absolutely exponential. I can only assume the Bose stereo works, since I haven't turned it on. I'd rather listen to the PSE!

I keep finding reasons to go into the garage to stare at it for a few more minutes. The car has also gotten under my son's skin (9 yrs old). He keeps asking if he can sit in it. He gets in and just grins from ear to ear. its been such a blast to share with my little buddy!

Congrats! I love that deep blue. Maybe I'll see you out on the roads around here. Enjoy! (Especially since we finally are getting solid sun...)

Wait a minute - did I see you in Sherwood a week or so ago?!

That alone is worth the cost of the car, isn't it? Back in the Cretaceous some time I helped my Dad build a cruising sailboat with bunks for the whole family. The experience alone was... well, I still remember sixty years later.

Gary

P.S. Forgot to say how beautiful that combination is. With that one side-by-side with my eventual purchase, I might have been like the mythical donkey that starves between two equidistant piles of hay.

rebattery: Where in South Jersey? I lived in Mt. Laurel and attended Lenape HS. Thanks for the comments.

Zdascope: I'll keep an eye out for you. Your car looks great! It wasn't me in Sherwood (yet).

Gary: I think you nailed it. I still remember sliding under the old Malibu with my Dad. Great memories...

Mike: Thanks for the kind words. I've seen a lot of your posts, and really enjoy your perspective on things.

Congratulations. I know how you feel. My car got under my son's skin also (26 years old) and he giggled the first time drove it.

Great story! I'll have to wait 7 more years to hear that giggle.
