You answered your own question.

Hint: SC is very close to me, but I drive 20 miles to get service at Porsche of Fremont...

I have a dealer about 10 minutes from my house but drive almost an hour away to see Gunter.
I've given the local dealers several chances thinking maybe this time but I was never impressed.
So what if I didn't buy the car from them.... I sure won't buy the next one either.

Thanks for the feedback - I wanted to make sure I was being fair. Very happy with the interactions with Gunter and don't mind the extra distance. Looking forward to having 4 wheels of the same color now.

My wife's been happy with Rector so far, even though we bought CPO from Livermore Porsche. We live in San Mateo and Rector is just down the road from us.

Of course, it helps that my wife resembles Tyra Banks, curves and all.

I think we are lucky in the Bay Area to have so many options. Competition is good. I like Porsche of Fremont because Gunter is a stand up guy and always goes above and beyond.

I have only had one experience with Stevens creek porsche. I had my 2011 C4S in for a rattle fix and to have the tires re-balanced. Overall a very good experience with the service dept. I have heard otherwise about the sales dept.
I haven't read any reviews here on Carlsen in redwood city. Any experience good, bad, or otherwise?

+1 for kudos to Gunter for being a stand-up guy and one of the best around.

I also live in San Mateo which is about 5 minutes from Rector and less than 15 minutes from Carlsen, and choose to drive 30+ minutes to Fremont.

I have had my Porsches serviced at Carlsen since 2004 and have always been very happy.
