Default Inexpensive (but effective) Walmart, Autozone, etc. waxes?

Taking the 997 to the Porsche Parade and just realized I have realistically run out time to order premium waxes online. Since I won't have time between now and the weekend to break out the Porter Cable to detail the car like it really needs, what products should I use that will allow me to only be moderately embarassed instead of completely shamed??

I'm talking about a wax, polisher, etc. that I can get at Walmart, K-Mart, Autozone, etc. What has been experiences with some of the offerings found there?

Call Eric at Bumperplugs, he can send you RejeX wax by tomorrow or Thursday. Sometimes hardware stores have it too.

I haven't used Rejex....I have used Zaino. I'm not sure if it's the right product for this car. Too many choices...argh!

I like it better than Zaino (1/4 the price, too). And, why not, "for this car"?

Was just saying that I used Zaino on my previous Porsche's which were much lighter. This dark car needs a clay bar, polishing, etc. I don't want to use Zaino to camouflage the swirls. I want to get rid of them. That won't happen until after the Parade.

Actually the Zaino AIO -all in one is a cost effective product as one bottle is enough to do a 911 at least 20 times. It runs about 30 bucks and essentially is a cleaner and wax in one and goes and comes off very easily.

You could try Meguiars NXT which runs less than 15 bucks but does not nearly last as long as Zaino which is why i use it. I dont think any wax out there can touch Zaino in terms of durability ie UV protection...

For an off the shelf product I would agree that Meguiars NXT Tech is what I would buy. It provides a look that is similar to Carnauba and it is very easy to use (don't use too much product).

Make sure you pick up some high quality microfibers for removal.
