#1 - I have a 7 year old and a 5 year old and we can go out as a family or with any combination thereof.
I typically dont use the back seats folded down for golf clubs as you have to take out the woods anyways. And I have a baby seat back there. I just move the passenger seat all the way back and put the clubs on the floor on the passenger side - leaning back into the seat. I have a smallish and light sun mountain bag (3.5 pounds) and its fits just fine.

a proper 911 has vestigial rear seats - that works for me

Seats?
I thought that was just extra cargo space to carry stuff to the track.![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)
As seats they are not fit for humans. I do appreciate the added storage space - much better than an R8.
I guess I'm a #4.

I'm torn between #3 and #4.
There isn't enough room for an adult to sit back there and I don't have children but they do form a useful flat shelf when folded down for daily use. However I also like the look of the models that don't have rear seats, more pure sports car.
As they are they appeal to the most buyers, don't weigh very much, you can put children in the back or you can fold then down and create a useful storage area.

The useable rear seats are what sealed the deal for me. I previously had a BMW MCoupe (the hatchback one) which was well modded, fast and appreciating in price, but it was little better than having a motorcycle as my wife and daughter could never come along for the ride.

No.1. My two 11-year olds go every where in daddy's Porsche.
And I fold them down and can easily fit two sets of golf clubs. In fact I find it easier to get my golf clubs in the 911 then I did in my E90 BMW 3-series, which had a funky shaped trunk.

4 and 7 yr olds here
you guys who still chase that silly white ball, as noted, just recline the front seat and leave the driver in the bag... but here is a trick;
if you drive spiritedly with the clubs riding shotgun you know it flies about, but if you seatbelt them in, just pass the buckle with the upper and lower thru the handle centered on the back of the bag and lock it, they stay in place just fine!

I bought the car with occasional space for teenagers in mind. To be honest it's pretty rare that my 13 and 15 year old both end up in the car at the same time, and never with my wife as well, or we take her Subaru.
But, seats folded down, I get a full size spare rear 295 19" in the back when I go touring in the mountains 500 miles from civilisation. Which incidentally provides a conclusive response to another thread.
