I could do the same comparison with just my own cars. My Gen I GT3 and my Gen II C2S PDK. The Gen I was more fashionable with the aero kit but the Gen II C2S is better in every performance category I can think of over my Gen I GT3.
Just as an example the new $185K GT3 RS 4.0 according to Excellence Mag hits 60 in 3.8. So does my $80K
(after rebates and discounts not including taxes) according to Car and Driver.
The 997.2 is a home run.

not disappointed in my .1 C2S
not sure how fast I get to 60, but it's pretty quick

I'm sure your new PDK 911 is great, but I'd take your older, manual-shifting, better-sounding, .1 GT3 over it any day of the week! That older GT3 (like the new one, for that matter), offers a true, old school driver-car connection, new 0-60 time notwithstanding. They're ALL fast today.
Just sayin'--

love it!
give you one pic why:
the 997.1 is not bad at all, but they seriously did things right with the improvements on the 997.2, wish i never sold mine.. hands down the most well rounded, best car i have owned.

May must have renegotiated his contract recently. He had a Boxster S for ~5 years, and in the last year has acquired an F430 and this new 911.

That's correct. JC is the only anti-porsche guy on the show. That doesn't mean he doesn't respect Porsche's. It's just not his cup of tea. Two episodes ago (I live in London), he and RH look for affordable cars and both share a ride in an old Boxster raving about the engine sound and how great the ride is. All three of these guys make enough money to buy whatever cars they want.

Does May actually own the car? He keeps referring to it as "his" which they often do with test cars. Just seems odd that someone had the keys if it was his car and parked outside their studio or whatever. That said, maybe they hand over their keys to PAs so that they don't need to be bothered if it needs to be moved. The other car is Hammond's actual car though. May had an F430 at some point as well.
