Dogs in your 911?
#64
I occasionally take dogs for a ride. I have a cover that connects to the front and back seats that keeps them from scratching the car and falling into the seat well. I use a harness to strap them in with the seatbelts and a pair of doggles. They absolutely love riding with their faces in the wind. I also get unusual looks. As to the fur, I vacuum the car after the ride.

We have an18lbs schnoodle who loves riding in the 997 cabrio. We put cushions in the seat wells and behind the front seats, and a towel protects the center console. He's harnessed in and likes to lie between me and my wife. He doesn't shed so much, but not taking him would be like leaving your kids at home.

Hell freaking yeah! The Porsche. The Ferrari. It's all good. Never once has my princess carped that I'm driving too fast! I make sure to harness her. IMO it's idiotic not to. In a sudden stop or crash you have a 30 lb missile of flesh and bone.
We have had our harness for a long time. Not sure the brand. But, it's something like this.
TAIL UP Dog Car Harness Vest Safety Driving Seat Adjustable No Pull Easy On/Off with...
Put down a few big towels for her to sit on, and it's off to the races!

We have a 17lb Dachshund who loves to go for rides, especially with the top down on my C2S. He doesn't shed and those rear seat cushions are easy to clean.

This is my dog Sadie, a Portuguese Water Dog and her best friend Daisy a Poodle (who stays with us a month or so each year). We don’t have rear seats in our 997 GTS so each dog gets a nice carpeted hollow to sit into (covered by several layers of beach towels, ‘because water dog’). Sadie rides in the car most days and has come along on many cross country driving holidays.
I have a strict ‘love me, love my dog’ policy, so Sadie came with’ on our first date. Now I’m sure he loves her more than me.

Our dog hates the 997. Her preferred vehicle in order:
A) wife's 5 Series BMW. Dog knows to ask for the heated seats in the back.
B) Jeep. Dog likes the visibility
C) Dog Catcher Truck.
D) 997... she runs to the BMW, then the Jeep, then hangs her head in disapproval.
She's actually never been in the dog catcher's truck but I just think she would jump in over the 997.
