I saw that one on the Wheel Enhancement site. I know the attached pic is not big enough or sharp enough to see the wheel very well. On the subject wheel, the "double spokes" seem to end right at the rim, without ever rejoining, like the spokes on the HRE C97 do.

Dan, I completely agree with you. If these are cheap knock off wheels, besides being "marginally safe" as you put it, these are fugly to my eye and will need to go, if I choose to buy this particular car.

I'm 99% sure you know this but since you're considering 997.2 cars and don't mention 6sp vs. PDK......make Sport Chrono "must have" on a PDK car. Other than that, I'm envious. Shopping for the next p-car is one of the great pastimes. For those wheels, yes they're hideous. Assuming they're made from some kind of metal, salvage value may be higher than resale.

I forgot to mention that I am 99% certain I will get a 6-speed, so the SC is not a necessity. As you mentioned, with PDK it really is required. The nice thing about SC is that it can now be added later for a little over $1K, and one can choose not to add the timer.
Yes, that is an ever present danger which is well known and often discussed on the Honda Boards. My fear is that I will become deeply depressed and even suicidal once the Honda goes away. I have begun attending weekly counseling sessions with Honda Anonymous to help mitigate those feelings. Wish me luck!
OK, the truth is..... I can't wait to see the back side of the Honda driving away!
