Carrera GTS 2011
hey guys, just wanna say hi and let everyone know that I'll soon becoming a Carrera owner. After two years of long decision, I finally decided and ordered a Carrera GTS on March 1st. There is a reason why it took so long, I live in Taiwan which is in Asia besides China. The price of import car is a lot more expensive than N. America in Asia. Give you some idea, the GTS that I ordered costs NT$6.70 million, which is about USD $230K. You guys can image the decision I have to go through. Anyway, after long wait, my GTS is finally here at the dealership. Got up early this morning to the dearship and took some photos by my iPhone. Soon I'll post some more better photos for you all to see....

Heavy government taxes on foreign cars to protect the local car manufacturers, right? Well, in HK, the gov taxes are charged as a way to control or reduce the number of cars on the road in order to reduce traffic congestions. Trust me, it's not working.

Thanks everyone, I can't wait to pick her up once the license is ready (hopefully next week). It is Platinum Silver. I was afraid it wouldn't look nice as it is a new color this year (according to the Sales??) but it turn out pretty nice. And yes, I'm old school and like to keep the rim silver instead of black. I even have the apron and others painted the same color. Just to look "low" to the ground~ It turns out very nice.

I have always figured that you essentially have to double the price of one in the USA to get one in Asia. Americans are extremely fortunate--they are able to buy a Porsche for significantly less than most of the rest of the world!
For all that money, you would think that you would get all THREE pedals, however!
