The passenger window needs to be 1/2 way up before releasing the switch and having it go up the remaining distance by itself. Hmmm... Does anyone's else's do this? The dealership says it's a safety feature. Odd, but possibly true.

Installing a SmartTop (by Mods4cars) fixes this, and also provides other nice features.

+1 On SmartTop, especially if you have a Cab. best mod investment yet I have made!

Tip: Make sure your interior courtesy light switch (above Rear view mirror) is in center position before you think you have a "defective" or burnt blub...

If you forgot whether you locked the car as you were walking away from it, go ahead and press the lock/unlock button again. If you don't disturb the doors the car will assume that you want it locked and in 30 seconds it will be locked up again.

The navigation module in these cars dynamically update the car's digital clock for you--off the satellite time tag. (Many automobile clocks are infamously inaccurate!)

Why didn't I think of that? Good one Dan.

This brings to mind an epic thread on the Saab forum. It was called little known facts about your car. I learned many subtleties of my Saab 900 on that thread.
Don't forget the rain sensing wipers in the position above off.

Speedometer will probably off on the high side by a few MPH. Mind is off 2 mph. Here is some more discussion:

There's a CD holder and a pen holder at the front of your glove box.

You can change your own oil in about 1/2 hour for about $70.

Your NAV system will display directions on your speedometer if you program the function to do so. (I figured that out after 3 years even though I read the owner's manual many times).

There is a little cable inside the front right wheel well. If your battery goes dead or your electronic release fails, you can pull the cable to manually release the frunk lid

What?! where is this and how secure is it? I may have to stop storing my camera equipment in the frunk.

Just detach the mud guard inside of the fender and the cable is right there. I have gotten lots of great cameras that way

There's also a cable inside the driver's side taillight to open the engine hood...haven't figured out how to remove the light to get to the cable when the hood is closed though.
