Trying to see what my car would look like if I had the rims painted or powdercoated black. Still not entirely sure but have the itch do something different with my wheels (w/ minimal cost). I would also love to have a polished lip but that doesn't seem possible with these wheels.

Any pics of black classics on a grey cab would be AWESOME, but any color car will do!

Did you ever have this done? I'm thinking about it too instead of the hassle and expense of swapping out the wheels entirely. I've looked around the web and cannot find pics of the Carrera classics in anything but silver. Even the Porsche configurator does not allow you to make this choice. Weird.

Thanks for that! I was wondering if it was possible to have a contrasting "outer lip" (for lack of a better term) in silver. I was hoping to avoid painting the part of the wheel most vulnerable to road rash. The other option would be red calipers with a red stripe on the lip.

In lieu of a polished lip one could apply these wheel rim stripes: http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...997_wheelacces

Would not protect the wheel but would provide a visual break between the black wheel and the tire which is problematic especially for matte black wheels. Thinking of doing this with matching painted calipers.
