Default Exhaust thoughts

I looking to enhance the sound on my standard exhaust on my 09 Targa C4. Don't want it too aggressive, just a bit more umpf. I also would need a switch to turn it on and off( don't want to wake the kids or neighbors @ 5:30 AM). What are my options. I've read through alot of threads, but they seem to lean more to the aggressive side. I also want to keep my non S tips. Thanks

Thinking about that. Price seems kind of steep?

When you look at all the other options the PSE isn't priced too high. Suncoast has a good price on the system and it appears to meet your needs.

The FVD PDK system might be the best alternative. It is a bit pricey but it has had some great reviews.

If you really need to be able to switch the loudness on and off, I don't know of any other option besides PSE that will work for you. PSE comes with the dual outlet sport tips buy I imagine it would be possible to keep your stock tips instead.

On a 997.2 car, the first thing I would do is replace the center resonator (muffler) with the SharkWerks pipes (see link below) which is just under $700.

Sharkwerks Center Muffler Replacement

If that didn't make it loud enough, then I would consider the PSE or the PSE modification (a.k.a Gundo Hack). Either of these will give you a deeper, more throaty sound.

I got the Sharkwerks bypass too and am very happy with it. Just a bit more character and you control the sound level with your right foot. Want it tame, keep the revs down. Want some music, open it up.

Thanks. Is this AWE a compeating product? http://www.awe-tuning.com/products/p...crossover.html Is there a reason one is better than the other? Also can i use my exsiting non s tips with either? What will the average price be to have them installed in NJ?

They both do the same thing. My preference is for the unit with the smoother bends.
Removal of the center can does not affect the tips that you use. Tips need to get replaced if you use a PSE.

I just put this one up to sell. I have found a different complete exhaust for sale locally, I love this bypass but I have to sell it to buy a different setup.

Forget video's. You will not be able to compare properly. Not to mention you are trying to audition the difference between 2 hollow pipes of the same length and diameter.

For the most part all the systems use a center bypass and then 2 outside mufflers.
I think tubi and fab and cargraphics are the most expensive then theres shark, awe, b&b , agency power. I would give then about equal quality and trust buying any one of the. Although the shark bypass is a 1 pc x pipe and some others are not joined
