Brake Rotors turn rust brown after washing my Porsche

I'm sure others have this happen. What's the deal with the rotors getting a rust color after washing the car and wheels and what do you do to prevent it....if anything? Wiping them with a towel (covering the towel with brown color rust like stain) isn't the answer I'm looking for. What do you do?

I almost didnt read this thread due to its dumb title. It is funny though. I know no one "drives" a 911 will be dumb enough to ask this question. As for the "rust preventer" how do you get to the back side of the rotor? Where is that in the video? DUMB

As for most of us who seem to troll the highways of Rennlist, we are often categorized as humans that may have been dropped shortly after birth, thus having to answer to rotten threads by posting on what a rotten thread this really is !........little confusing.
But there is a solution,

I bought my car used, so it doesn't have rotors. No idea what the previous owner did with them, but at least I don't have this rust-colored mysterious deposit issue.

You know how, when you ask a n00b question, some of the older "barn sour" forum members chastise you for not using the search function? Well, I did use the search function...and I found this thread. And you know what I learned?
Many thanks to the positive contributors on this thread. You helped me learn something useful and relevant today.
- D-oh! A leaf blower after washing my car. Of course!!!
- Porsche paints brake rotors to prevent rust from forming in non-friction areas. I did not know that and, when replacing rotors, will keep this nugget in mind
- There are a lot of angry old men on this forum with lots of time on their hands
