I had my OEM lug nuts powder coated to match my black wheels. Look great and don't have to worry about them coming off at speed.

Default RSS Black Lug Nuts

I purchased black wheel spacers from RSS (Road Sport Supply) and they came with black lug nuts with the captive washers. Very nice product.

Perhaps they'll sell you just the lug nuts.

The Porsche manual has a pic of the bolt and floating washer...washer requires aluminum paste for lubrication...
What about powder coating?

They charged me about $120 for the set on all four wheels. I thought it was fair, especially for the short notice.

Okay. I got the stock nuts in place of the locking nuts, and the black caps are on...

crap.

I'm seriously wondering if there's just too much black on this car.

anyway, thanks for the input!

I took my lug bolts off and cleaned them up with a wire brush on my drill/driver, then sprayed them with a flat black BBQ paint (high temp). That should look fine for a year or so, then I'll just do it again as needed.

To paint them I cut an "X" in a piece of cardboard and pushed the lug bolt through. Then it did the same thing 19 more times and sprayed them all at once. Added a second coat. Done.

I use painters tape on my socked (in and out) to prevent excessive damage to the lugs or to the wheels.
