Zaino products, they work well. I spent 4 hours just working on the paint alone, very time consuming process but it looks amazing once its done.

I understand now that this is not healthy. I am forming a group called "its just a car". You should join. we will be dealing with issues like:

" water spots, you are the only one who sees them "
" tire dressing, its a lie, your tires are still old "
" detailing, there is a devil in the detail "

after 90 days inpatient treatment, your polishing cravings will have subsided, but you need to stick with it. Take it one day at a time.

nice detail job nonetheless!

I do believe I hear the dark side calling you...

Remember the Obsessively **** credo
No dirt, no water, no kidding.

Spot? I think that is some sort of dog.

I must say once I polish it, any spot drives me nuts(its almost like I have to start over). I have studied the paint so much I remember where every little scratch is on the car. Since the car is black you can see every imperfection, after I do the paint I start on the inside and than the paint starts getting dusty, just drives me nuts!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway its hard to keep a car in pristine condition all the time.

can you be more specific? I send mine to a detailer who does a fantastic job, but you get what you pay for. I would really like to learn to do it myself, as I enjoy spending time cleaning and detailing, but the whole "swirling" thing scares me off. This is the first black car I have ever owned, and man it drives me crazy.

So...Do the Zaino products provide instructions that, if followed by a rank amateur, actually work to prevent the kinds of issues that can arise with black paint?
