Where to find used PCCB kit for Carrera S?
Any ideas where I could find a used PCCB kit in good condition to upgrade my 997.2 Carrera S?
Any help would be appreciated.

Over on the 997 GT3 forum those guy remove PCCB because they track there cars. PCCB has issues on the track and they all go to steel brakes. I do not consider PCCB an upgrade. Are you ready to pay $16,000 for 4 PCCB rotors when you need to replace?

@Ross, you never said what exactly is the problem with your brakes and in your other thread you said smething about the feel, which should be as solid as can be. For street driving, Carrera brakes are more than enough! I found Boxster/Cayman brakes a bit lacking, but C2/C2S are amazing stock!

alexb76 the brakes were superb to start with, but over time, (15,000) the pedal feel has gone mushy and they start to fade quicker. where i live we have a lot of mountains and on quick descends I find the brakes reach their limits sometimes

- Do a full brake fluid flush
- Check your pads thickness and if you can take em out to see if they're worn uneven
- Do a proper break-in of the pads
- If all above didn't help, either change to another set of stock pads, or as upgrade to Pagid Sport, or Ferodo 2500 (what I am getting)
My stock pads after 12K miles are still great, even after doing 5-6 DE event, I have ONLY made them fade on track, on street, mountains, twisties, etc... stock pads have NEVER failed to perform. I highly suspect your fluid needs a refresh.
I am going to get some Ferodo 2500 for summer/DE sessions, and keep stock of winter, if I wasn't tracking the car, I'd stock to stock.
Good luck

I have to echo alexb76 on this. After some track work a couple of years ago I was shopping PCCBs myself. I thought I had been happy with the brakes until a day at the track had me thinking otherwise.
But the remarks here on tracking PCCBs really had me wondering which way to jump.
Suncoast (talk to them if you're sure you want to go this route) had a PCCB set on hand that they were "clearing out" for something around $12k. I hesitated and a while later they were gone.
Before my next track event I had a full flush and I've had zero concerns about brake performance subsequently - track or street. Might be worth your while to play around with pads/fluids first - might save yourself a bunch of bucks.

You all want to know about tracking PCCB's...go over to the 997 GT3 forum and search Ice Mode and other related PCCB issues.
