I know the cup cars are not quite the same spec as ours but I still find this amazing that the drive just walked away without a scratch.

Very true. That's one of the most spectacular crashes I have ever seen. Amazing how momentum just carries the car up, and around and around so many times. Great to see the driver walking away.

Incredible.
But pretty sure that without a cage, 6 point, and head-n-neck restraint.....he wouldn't be walking from that one.

The structure of the cage is what gives those cars their strength.

sure the unibody is stiff and all, but without the cage...goner

I'm sure most of you have seen Joey Hand's crash at Mid-Ohio. Just in case here's a link to it. The two are a toss as to which is the wildest.
