Default PDK, Track, Spin protocol

The routine recommendations during a spin at the track is "pedal to the metal" meaning clutch and brake in. What about PDK equipped 911? Will the pdk automatically shift to neutral? Nasty motor damage if it doesn't.

I always thought it was "both feet in"?

Pedal to the metal is WOT.... No?

billh1963 is right. The saying is, "in a spin-both feet in" meaning brake and clutch depressed, not "pedal to the metal" which means gas pedal to the floor or WOT.

Anyway as to your question, this has been discussed before. See this post for an answer.

I stand corrected. "Both feet in" or clutch and brake. I have spun multiple times in my 06 C2S manual but have not YET in my 09 C2S PDK. I have found no definitive comment on protocol. I hope that braking releases the clutch otherwise engine damage could follow.

As you can see from the link I referenced, PDK is very sophisiticated in it's ability to monitor a bunch of parameters regarding vehicle attitude, so it's not just the brake. Braking in a turn or straight line, for example, doesn't take the transmission out of gear.
