Only you can decide whether the increased risk is worth it. I have a friend who got his Cayman S supercharged by Ruf--and it's been a garage queen more then you would ever expect. Blown one of the superchargers already--and he's not an aggressive driver.

Whatever I get will be my DD for all 4 seasons in Toronto so I cant imagine this is a great choice but I was intrigued by the extra HP for the cost. However, as you point out it comes with certain risks...

as much as I like to mod my own car, i am very conservative myself about seeing mods on car i want to buy. if I would want to sell my rig I would return it to bone stock prior to sale to avoid having any of such concerns on buyers side
