Default Brand new turbo with oil issues

Hello everyone, I literally just picked up my new GT silver/cocoa interior turbo coupe today and I have a bit of a question. I know this is technically a cross post but I have always received a great deal of help in the past regarding my C2S. So, after driving approximately one hour of a three hour trip home, the check engine oil light came on. I then checked it and it was flashing at the bottom level. I stopped to visit some friends and when I rechecked it an hour later, it was at max level. So I started off again toward home, and approximately an hour later, the check engine oil light came on. What the hell? I called the sales guy who I have dealt with for the past four months (building my car and awaiting its arrival) and he suggested adding 1/4 of a quart, that the level was likely barely below max and thus setting off the sensor. I am hesitant to do this however when at times the oil level reads at the maximum bar. According to the manual, the two reasons I would get the check oil level in the first place are:1. it is below minimum or 2. well above maximum. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I bet that car is beautiful - maybe my fav color combo. But at those prices, back to the dealer to sort out that oil gadget - it should not be doing that.

Thanks everyone. My plan is to call dealer in the morning and see what can be worked out. The only problem-I live 3 hours away from this dealer.

Or, the upside - you have a good reason to drive it for 3 hours.

And for heaven's sake - you know you gotta post pics of that beauty.

I thought I would provide an update on the situation. Bluegrass Porsche in Louisville is sending a truck to pick the car up in the morning. Definitely not a great first experience with a new car but I am satisfied that they are addressing the problem proactively.

The dealer picked my car up today and trucked it back to louisville. Faulty oil sensor is the diagnosis and will have it back to me tomorrow.
