Default a tire size question

Hi All, looking for some help.

My wife is returning her 335i to BMW. it has a set of 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 PS2s which I need to take off and remount the OEM runflat tires.

Question is, is it safe to use these set of tires on my 18inch 997 rims. The original tire sizes on these rims are 235/40/18 and 265/40/18.

Thanks in advance for your help!

You can use this tire size calculator to see the differences between the 2 sizes.

They'll fit the wheels since the 911 wheels are within their range but they'll be about 1" short so your speedometer will be off and you'll have bigger fender gap.

Those a too skinny for thetrack. They will look funny for the street too.

I track with 18" wheels and use either 245/40/18 & 305/35/18 or 255/35/18 & 315/35/18 sizes.
