question regarding softronic software

I wondering how much throttle response improves with the softronic software.
Let's say I drive my 997s in normal mode all the time. Once I hit the sport button, my car reponses faster.
So my question is that once I remap with the softronic, its engine response is similar to the sport mode's throttle response before I remap my 997s, is it right?
I was wondering because I feel like sport mode is too sensitive for me.

Then the standard throttle response will just be very slightly faster because of the tune.
That is, to be clear, there are two separate things happening to throttle response in a tune :
1. Generally making the engine more aggressive about responding to throttle changes; this will make the car feel more responsive, also a bit more jerky, and can hurt emissions. The OEM ECU builds in some smoothness to the throttle response for comfort and emissions purposes. This comes from fuel injection timing maps and so on.
2. Changing the throttle drive-by-wire response speed. This is the "permanent sport mode" (it's also what a Sprint Booster does). This is just a linear multiplier or power function applied to the throttle electronic signal level.
So with Softronic you would always get #1, and #2 is your choice.
BTW I believe it's an unanswered question whether the OEM sport mode is only #2 (a throttle multiplier that doesn't actually change the engine management) or if it also has any aspect of #1 (adjusted timing maps).

Basically, sport mode is just a trick of the senses. It slightly adjusts how much the gas pedal has to be pressed to get X% throttle. So if it takes 5mm of pedal travel to get 75% throttle in normal, it might take 4mm in sport. So the point is just press your foot 1mm more if you want that much throttle.
I've had many students that wanted to "try" sport mode on their cars. I coached them about what it really does and how it actually makes it harder to be smooth, but they want to try anyway. After a few laps they are pressing the button again to get to normal.
Softronic on it's own is different. It actually changes how the engine management responds. I have it and found it to be "just right", linear, and a compliment vs. sport which can be "jumpy".
