Default FS: Factory Short Shift Kit

Brand new, local dealer friend gave this to me - Retail new from the stealership is $505, I see it online for $500, I'd like $375 shipped

Can anyone who has one confirm that's the factory one with all parts intact? I am interested.

I have the factory SSK, 1st gear is more difficult, but the benefit exceeds the difficulty. The car shifts how it should now. Buy without hesitation.

EDIT: My previous 997.1 did not have the SSK. I prefer the car with the SSK.

Default love the SSK!

It really makes me feel one with the car. It's firm, precise, and efficient. I can't imagine the car without it.

Anyone? I'm willing to buy, I just want to make sure there aren't any pieces missing. No offense to the OP - having not installed it, I don't know if you would know either.

Print out a pic, take it to your dealer's parts/service dept, they will help you

part number 99742498300 is correct.

All unnecessary posts were deleted.

Gentlemen this is a FS thread, if you want to discuss shifters please start a new one, it is not polite to post them here.

Thanks

John

I have this part sitting in front of me, part number is correct, and it looks intact. There are 2 articulated arms on the underside that connect to the shifter cables. You might want to see a pic of the underside to be sure there's nothing missing. Pm me if you'd like to see any pics of what it should look like.

Had this on my Cayman S and loved it so much that I removed it when I sold the car and will be installing in my C2S.

John,

I am not angry, I am just confused by this. FS posts have special rules? If so, that's fine, but then why isn't this in the FS section instead of 997? We openly discuss eveything in this section.

Every now and then, I watch a Mod make a move that makes me shake my head and wonder...

WTF?

Looks complete to me, and a relatively easy DIY.
