Use a torx wrench to remove the single bolt on the outside edge and then push/pull hard towards the outside to dislodge the back rest from the center bar. Just go for it - and the back rest will slide out.
There is a center hinge pin underneath the plastic cover between the seat backs. Although it's possible to remove the backs without loosening the set screw that secures the hinge pin it requires some finesse (and force) and it's possible to snap the pin (ask me how I know) or tweak the hole where the pin enters the seatback. If you carefully pry off the plastic cover to access the screw it makes the whole operation easier.
Will keeping the backseats down improve the stereo sound quality. When the seats are up it would seem to be blocking the sub-woofers that are directly behind them.
Is this logical or will not make any sound difference at all.Thanks...
Not sure w/ the reg system, but w/ the high end system, the seats down definitley improve the quality. The seats up, block the subs. However, I rarely listen to the system, I prefer my PSE!
