why there no woodgrain in the 997s like in the old 996s. i like my leather and wood, and it looks better to

I'm one of the few people here that likes wood accents in a 911. Many here prefer the sterile look and feel of fake aluminum. How elegent!

Wood trim is optional in the 997 just like it was in the 996. It was never standard on the 996.

Ha! - what he said. I hate that wood wheel in my wife's Lexus - she does too; it's hard and cold and no grip, but can't get it any other way. Wood is for boats and soap-box derby cars.
