I had a PPI completed on my 06 C2S last year and the RMS was leaking.
I had it fixed at the dealers expense.
Again, most likely because of the car sitting due to low mileage of use over the years.
The same can be said for any shocks sweating if the car sits around long enough at times. These cars need to be driven....

Is this the same dealer that recommended the IMS replacement?

Not sure they would touch my car....you should state the name of the dealer so we can all avoid it.

Also, you say that your car has 36K on the clock and just did a major 30K service for $1600...the major is due at 40K and at $1600 is steep, even for a Porsche dealer. My major at Rusnak Porsche in Thousand Oaks, CA ran $1200 before my PCA membership discount.

Sorry to go off topic but that is a Sweeeeet looking ride.

In DC its $1800 for a minor service. I might move to CA!

$1800 for a minor? You can drive out to CA and back and still have $ left over! Minor runs about $600.

It's painful but the price to play out here. This shop is a bit less than the one on the other side of town. The most expensive free cappuccino I've ever had! :big gulp:

Sorry. I went back and looked at the invoice and deducted the things that were outside the scope of the minor service (done in Feb) and it would be about $800.

I've always heard that it's less likely to happen on a car after the 60k mile mark, does anybody know if this is really true or not? Also, someone had said that it could still happen up to the 09's, is there any Major issues to look out for on the 2010's & newer ? Thanks
