I wouldn't be surprised if this was a part of the research process for designing new products for porsche. The guys who get these probably fall into a key demographic. Uploading moments of delight helps the design team understand how the cars are used and when people feel great about them. That way the team can focus on creating more of those moments or making those moments even better. The marketing team can use the info to tune thier message as well. You can see how this info might feed into ideas for a commercial or something showing someone getting groceries and then going to a trackday then going out to dinner with thier wife.
Really, it's a key part of running a consumer business where the customer has such a close relationship with the product- it's the right way to do it.
