Default Carrera Sport Wheel on 997 ?

Will Carrerra Sport wheels fit a narrow body/non S C2 997 Carrera? If so can you install 295 tires in lieu of 305's without issue?

Thanks!

They'll fit fine, I have a good friend with a '09 S (narrow body) with Sport Carrera wheels.

You won't want to run 295s on 'em, since they are 1/2" (10mm I believe) wider than the other stock 997 wheels. The Carrera Sport wheels are the widest stock Porsche wheels you can buy for a non-turbo Porsche.

Hope that helps,

Yes, as long as you do NOT buy the widebody offsets. Mind that they came with one offset until 2007 when they started producing both offsets.

To add to what's been posted already, there's no difference between the S and non-S narrow body, and yes they will fit on either car. All the 295/30/19 tires I've looked at will accept a rim width of 10-11". The Carrera Sports are 11.5" at the rear so they are a bit wide for that tire.

You can even run 12" wide and 305/30/19 on a narrow body 997, as long as your offset is for the narrow body. The GT3 comes with that setup from the factory.

12" wide in rear can take 335/30r18 with no issues.

11.5" wide rims want 315 tires max but I think 305 will be a bit better for track as you will go 245/305.

for 315 in rear you would want 255 in front but 255 will want 9" wide rim. you probably have 8.5" in front, so, it is an ideal fit for 245/305 combo.
